Default Ceramic core Vs. metal core catalytic conv.

From reading up on carsound cats, its seems that they arent all that great. I've searched and have read about the ceramic core rotting/falling apart etc. Can I get some input on this cat. with a metal core. I know its a little pricey but I guess it'll pay for itself in the long run. http://stores.channeladvisor.c.../7102?
