If the door is connected to a solenoid popper and that is connected to a remote receiver, which has a remote that is capable of learning other signals (IR included probably for the phone) then yes....but thats not going to happen

Technically this is possible, but not how you are thinking.
If you have a DEI Alarm with ESP2, then you can connect their DEI GPS Tracking system, you can actually call and have your doors unlocked, the car started, (if equiped with a remote starter) and such.

Yes, the same as the OnStar system. But those are completely different than one guy 100 miles away pointing a remote at a phone, while the other guy holds the phone up to the car hoping to unlock the doors.
Actually, that sounds kinda funny; I'd love to see some mouth breather holding the phone up to his car to try and unlock it, getting all frustrated. Maybe I've just been in my cube too long.
