CEL--- Right After PASSING Emission Test
I took my car, 99 civic cx all stock, to the emission test and right after I pulled out I got a check engine light . Code was O2 heater. A friend had the same problem with his 03 Civic SI at the same testing station.
Changed out the O2 sensor and reset the ECU but the code will not go away. Did the emission test computer fry something in our ECUs or what? Does the code have to be reset with an OBDII scanner? I am clueless.

the emission testing scan tool/computer should have no affect on your ECU, you might want to get a scan tool and reset the ECU

Well my cheap *** universal obdII tool won't do it. It won't even pull the code just errors out. Must be for OBDIIa or something. Doesn't autozone clear codes for free?
