Cel Question
I recently transplanted a B16A2 into my 1998 honda civic ex. I spliced the wires from the Ex harness so that way it can be compatible with the ECU. To splice the wires i got the info from this site. To continue i put a GSR ECU to finish the project. And not to long ago I keep getting random misfire codes. Now my question is that is the ECU the problem, or something else. I was wondering since the GSR has another set of butterfly valves is it causing the misfire. Please help!!! Other than that the car runs great and the Vtec is working fine. I can actully hear the Vtec engage twice even though I only have one set of valves. LOL Thanks!

Lol i must admit i did laugh. Im not good at making sigs. Help if you can. But yea ill triple check. So you think running that ECU shouldnt be an issue? I heard theres a way to cancel the first vtec engagement but Id rather find out why its misfiring first.

Re: Cel Question
First Check spark plugs, sprak plug wires. And yes the gsr ecu will run the motor but not 100% like it should it has a diffrent mapping for the b18 its not mapped for the b16 motor it will how ever throw a code for the butterfly valves
