cel problem
so i get a cel after a few minutes of driving, i went to autozone cause they check it for free and the machine said linking error. ok, so i go down the street to jiffy lube cause i used to work there and i know they also have an obd2 scanner, so i borrowed it and i got the same result. what could be the problem?

Re: cel problem (myb16civic)
how many times did you try it?..i get the same thing sometimes, but i just turn the key off and let it sit a second, then do it again
for some reason its gotta take a min to read before you try to get it to link

Re: cel problem (rafimos)
what ecu are you running? if you are running a obd1 ecu on an obd2 car it aint going to work. all you see is error. but if you are running obd2 ecu then something is wrong with your car

I would just check the cel the old fashion way. count the blinks and refer to the table. theres a how to top sticky of this forum that explains how to do it.
