CEL jumper doesn't work. Need help
Bought a 94 Civic EX with a JDM B16a. The CEL is on. I placed a jumper wire in the two pin plug under the glove box and turned the key to on. The check engine light stays on solid with the other dash lights. All the jumper does is make the SRS light blink on and off constantly. The CEL doesn't blink at all, just stays solid. Any ideas why this isn't working?

B16a cutting in/out at 3500rpms????
Just bought a 94 Civic Ex with a jdm B16a. Had a buddy help me replace the tps sensor and he also "played/adjusted" the vtec controller inside the car. Now when i drive it, it cuts in and out at about 3500rpms in every gear. Feels the same as hitting the rev limiter without the noise. We did use a meter to calibrate the tps we put in (0.5 closed -4.5 open). Also notice a severed wire on the distributor(orange wire pin 4) that i reconnected. Not sure if that has anything to do with this issue. Any help would be great!
P.S. Anyone have the instructions to a vtec controller? like a pdf file or something.

Re: CEL jumper doesn't work. Need help
I found this when I searched.
0 (defined by CEL remaining on steady both without and with the service connector jumped) - indicates ECU power or ground problem when engine will not start; begin by checking the three main relay fuses and the G101 ground attached to the thermostat housing.

VTEC controllers are GARBAGE. A quick search will tell you why. What happens if you remove the controller? Does the car operate normally? Was the car working properly BEFORE you messed around with the VAFC?

sounds like you've got one of your plugs backwards. check your wiring, i had that issue when i switched my intake manifold, i switched the plugs back and it was fixed.

The car was operating just fine before he played with it. I was recently informed that they are garbage. I will try and remove it today.
Kelb- No plug wires were removed for anything.
