Default CEL help!!!

I have a 99 si and my CEL has been on for some time now. it was reading both O2 sensors, IAT sensor, and code P1337 which said random misfire on the scan tool. I have changed my O2 sensors now i need to know what to do about the other two problems. also when i just went back to auto zone the O2 sensors were still showing. do i have to disconnect my battery before that code will clear? thanks in advance for any and all help

shouldn't a diagnostic scanner be able to reset the ECU ? I dont know if unplugging the battery will do.

if that doesnt work than you have something still giving you a code

i had an sc400 that was giving me problems resetting the ecu.. i had to do the same thing but instead of 30 seconds i had disconnect the battery waited like 10 minutes came back to it and it reset. then it worked.

you left the key on in ignition when u did all this?

thats the manual way of doing it. other than that use an obd2 scanner and use the reset button on there when you hook it up.

When you changed the o2 sensor did you buy the kind that comes with the plug or the type u need to add the plug? If the second check ur wiring cuz it could be shooting an immediate signal to the ecu.

another thing i thought of. but im not 100% cuz i've never had an ek si.... do you have a seperate service engine light.. or it could be tied in with the CEL. just telling you need to change your oil or something and it hasnt been reset.... if its that.. you reset that by holding down the odometer trip switch and the second pin in your cluster (if you have that), while key in ignition ** double check that procedure

let us know what happens

well i left the key in the ignition when i did the battery trick thing but to no avail. my O2 sensors are the ones that are plug and play, i didn't have to do any wiring or anything. the CEL and the other one are separate. i may just have to go back to auto zone tomorrow. i appreciate all the help guys.
