CEL due to bad o2?

CEL due to bad o2?
okay, well I ripped a wire going to my o2 sensor last night when doing some work on my header. I didn't have time to splice the wire so I figured I'd leave it till I got more lift time. So now when I drive I get a CEL only after the car is warm and it usually doesn't appear till I've made a heavy downshift. I'm taking a guess that the bad o2 wire is causing the CEL?
