Default Cel code 4

ok guys i need help i had my car on boost for about a year now not much problems car is a 1999 honda civic 4 door it has a d16y7 i just dropped that motor to put a d16a jdm d16z6. Everything is done and car starts fine vtec is wired right but it will not rev over 3700 rpm. i get the cel code 4 on every computer i try (chipped obd1 p28, obd2b computer, and even on my phearable chipped p06 with hondata s100 vtec socketed) what is the problem and what can i do to "fix" "bypass" or get rid of this problem.........

so your flashing a crank position sensor ? which distributor and which wiring harness are you using ?.

im using a d16z6 dizzy i think and im using my d16y7 harness so its a automatic obd2b non vtec harness

the car used to be automatic by the way

Check your wiring from the distributor back to the ECU, if everything is good and you continuity from the distributor to the ECU the distributor is bad, replace distributor housing.

which ecu are you using and from what year ?. you may have them backwards. the y7 harness utilizes the crank angle sensor in a different ecu pin i believe.

use a multimeter, set it ohms, put one probe on a pin at the distributor, put the other probe on the corresponding pin at the ECU, the multimeter should read 0. repeat for the other wire.

ya there are is a wire you relocate to another pin locoation. I dont know which one right off the top of my head but they have Pin readouts for it somewhre
