CEL code 3
I've been having some issues with my 93 del sol si. The person I got it from swapped a d15b7 into it and it ran great for a while. But recently the cel has been throwing code 3 for the MAP sensor and when it does the car feels like it has no power and it idles at around 1500rpms. Usually I'll let it sit for a while and it's fine.
I've tried to determine whether it happens when it's hot or anything but it just happens randomly. I got to looking at the MAP sensor and they moved it up by the feul filter and the wires go over to the passenger side fender and are spliced into the harness. I noticed that while the car was running fine and I touched some of those splices the car idles rough and dies.
Do you think the MAP sensor is bad or do you think their splices are just bad?

Re: CEL code 3
I have a 96 civic ek and it had 4 codes 10, 20, 41, 65. I took off both engine grounds and wire brushed the wire ends and the motor and pulled the ground off the battery for ten minutes and all four of them are gone. I did it becuase I just bought the car and it was running kinda funny after a swap.

ok, map sensors where on the firewall in most 92-93's and where moved to the throttle bodies in 94+ (it was one of many changes), so now you have 2 harnesses for that connector. If it was fine when you first done the swap chances are the wiring is right, if your good with electrical get a multi-meter and probe the ecu to make sure your getting a signal from it. If you are then its most likely bad since its throwing the code, just replace it.
