CEL Code 1. Tried Searching. Need Help!!!!!!
Alright I have a 94 CX hatchback and the motor was pretty crappy so I bought a 96+ mini me SOHC VTEC. I drove it for months w/ the stock p05 ecu cause I didn't wanna spend more money for a p28 and wiring up the VTEC cause its my beater ya know, plus the car drove pretty fine w/ no VTEC.
Well recently I got a virgin p28 and I wired up the VTEC. And after a few miles of driving it, I feel almost no power from 1-4k rpms and after forcing my way thru the hesitaion the car wakes right up at 4k and has no problems. I jump the ecu and get a code 1. But the weird thing is when I restart the car the code goes away and no hesition for another few miles. Most of the time when theres hesitation I just turn the key 1 click down and back up (just to reset the ecu but not to turn the engine off) and the car wakes up again. What I don't understand is sometimes when I get that power loss the code isn't on at all and all I have to do is just turn the key 1 click back and forth and it goes away.
I've already done the following:
- new OEM spark plugs
- new OEM Wires
- new OEM 02 sensor
- tried using a different p28 and still same problem
- Using higher octane gas
- plus a few other small things that I know aren't related but did anyway.
I'm not sure if theres a break in the wire from the ecu to the engine harness or what but any ideas would be a great help. My track car is off the road til spring and this is all I got right now plus I commute to work and school (80 miles a day) so I need to fix this problem ASAP especially w/ gas prices the way they are.
THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Re: (Neebs)
Thanks for the link but I don't exactly follow what you are trying to show me. I did jump the ecu and get the code. I just didn't measure the volts in the wire from ecu to o2 sensor harness. I need to get my hands on a mult-meter. I'm also thinking I might have a bad PCV valve cause I've also seen a little oil on my IAT sensor.

Re: (mini-meEj1)
Thanks but I already looked that up. I know the code is for o2 sensor but if I changed it and put a brand new one from Honda and tried a different ECU what else could it be. What should the voltage be in wires from the ecu to the o2 sensor and which one do I test. (white, green, or 2 blacks)

Re: (MikeNice)
What could be the problem. The other day my VTEC pressure switch pin came out of the ECU and it threw a code 22. But what I don't understand is that it didn't throw a code for o2 sensor (code 1). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks
