about 99% of the time, it's just your gas cap...
the fuel tank system utilizes vacuum....if the gas cap is faulty, it's not allowing complete vacuum of the system
just TIGHTEN the gas cap, OR, just go to autopartsstore and buy a new one for like $10

no, its not the gas cap. i always tighten it the required 3 clicks etc. when i reset the ecu the cel doesn't come back on for about a day, then returns at a random time. i put in a new tank a while ago, could it be from that? would a loose hose somewhere on the tank cause this? if so, is there one in specific that sets the cel off?

OT::::: once in my autotech class, this chick came in a CRV and was throwing a code 90 as well.....i was put on the case since i'm the "Honda Man" of the entire class.......needless to say, i went through the ENTIRE undercarriage of the CRV trying to "hear" a vacuum leak lol
in the end, i just popped the gas lid for the hell of it, and what did i find? NO gas cap....NONE lol
i told the girl and she was like "OOOH MY GOD, i like must have like left it at like Exxon when i like filled up.....WOW!"
hahah.....just a lil humor

I've had a gas cap go bad before. There is a spring inside the cap that regulates the pressure. Sometimes the spring goes bad.
