Cel 67: Where to buy california legal catalytic converter?
I've been searching online and I am having a hard time looking for place. I'm getting cel code 67 and just changed my secondary o2 sensory with a Denso one. The check engine light came back on after 110 miles and I'm getting the same code. This is on a 1999 Civic Si. Please help, I need to smog it asap.

Question:
Is there really a difference between the 49 state legal catalytic converters and the ones made for CA? I know there's a new law out or whatever that is making them have two separate ones. Please help, I need to smog my car so I can register it.

Basically they are treated like aftermarket parts now and require a CARB number.
A few of the cat makers have not switched, thus they are hard to find.
So be sure you get one for your car. You can go here to make sure. http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermk...es/amquery.php

What dealership? They are like $700.
Where can I get the magnaflow? I contacted the muffler shop and they said they do not have one for the civic since the new law is intact. If I smog my car and the smog tech checks if my cat is oem and it's not, they will look for a carb number or whatever. I'm thinking I should just get a 49 state legal cat and risk it since more than likely the smog tech won't check.

Re: Cel 67: Where to buy california legal catalytic converter?
Ok, serious question, I'm building a DA6 Integra, I'm running, sport level modifications (4-2-1 spoon headers, HKS air filter, HKS hi power exhaust, B16A swap, and a Spoon Head gasket as the only internal modification, Also running an HKS F Con iS ECU) I want to know if anyone has heard about the SARD Catilyzer... supposingly it can still pass emmission tests (for those who have emmission laws) and still deliver good response and power, but it maintains desired amount of back pressure for the mild street builds like me, i know about it form what i have read, but i want to know if anyone has tried it, the part is around $800, but it's supposingly good

Try going on carsound.com, I believe its magnoaflow. Their high flow cat is what I am running on my accord and I do not have issues with the cat. But I do have an issue with the H22 type S

Re: Cel 67: Where to buy california legal catalytic converter?
that sounds good too, but i'm honestly real solid on purchasing parts from japanese manufacturers only (unless i can't find an aftermarket part like sway bars or a camber kit, then i'll purchase usdm) were i live, there are no laws against test pipes, but my setup requires some sort of back pressure, thats why i was considering the SARD unit, but is the magnaflow a 2.5in. diameter? and whats the price, i have no problem breaking the $800 for the SARD, function and quality are my main priority
