Okay, my car was overheating and I just changed the thermostat. After the install my car is throwing CEL code 6 which is the water temp sensor. I haven't driven my car yet because I don't know what this is going to do. What can I do to get rid of this? Will it cause my car to overheat? Will it not be able to sense heat so my car could be overheating without me knowing? I'm running on a tight budget, but how much does a sensor cost and where can I get one? thanks in advanced.

did you screw the ground back in?

CEL 6 is for the water temp sensor, and yes i screwed the ground back in.

Okay, a friend came over and i tried on his sensor, CEL went away. I guess I just have to get a new one. thanks.
