CEL #41
Just did a gsr swap obd2 into my 97 ek hatch. Only have 1 code left to deal with. Manually checked the check engine light as it blinked and came up with 41 which is heated o2 sensor. Went to autozone to use their scanner tool and the computer kept saying error. It couldnt read the P codes. I dont know what it is. is 41 the primary o2 sensor? the one thats on the downpipe? If so I can just replace that right? and it will work? my car is not properly mixing the fuel and air and its eating up my gas like crazy also its a lil sluggish and running kinda rich.

hrm.. ill try replacing it and pray and hope that the code goes away. I had like 6 codes and I got rid of all of them cept this one. but I still cant figure out why the computer scanner at autozone couldnt give me a p code. It kept saying error. does anyone know why it couldnt read my p codes?

Re: CEL #41 (raidacaipo)
okay update...
I extended both o2 wires.. I realized that I was using my stock ek harness therefore the primary o2 sensor plug was the one closes to the front of the header and the secondary o2 sensor plug was the one that was going toward the downpipe.. I had it on backwards and left the primary o2 sensor hanging out unplugged while plugging the secondary o2 sensor into the primary downpipe o2 sensor. After switching it, it still doesnt solve my problem.. still getting code 41.. bought a new sensor and tried like 3 different types already. also the wierd thing is that my secondary o2 sensor isnt plugged into anything and isnt throwing any codes for a secondary o2 sensor.. just the primary.. does anyone know why? or could speculate?
