my engine is going birzerk, missing and popping left and right, it struggled to stay on.
i finally got it to throw a CEL 3. which is the MAP sensor on obd2.
it says that it may not have enough power or it has too much.
my haines manual says it should be getting 5 volts. i assume this is at full throttle?
i checked my sensors on the VAFC and my preassure sensor(which i assume is the MAP. please tell me if this is right) reads 2.977 at full throttle/vaccum.

is it common for the MAP to take a ****? i have NO fuel adjustments on the VAFC so its not that.

its on a 00' civic ex with only boltons and 57K miles.

i cant even drive this pile of junk so any answers ASAP woiuld be great. thanx.

BTW my battery is almost compoletely dead, it only has enough juice to keep the radio running for a minute after thengine is off. would this have something to do with the voltage to the MAP while the car is running?


i also have and OBD1 gsr throttle body sittin around, can i use the map off of that? or do the obd's have to match????

Try that other map sensor, it should bolt right up. Did anything change, or did this just suddenly happen?

it just got reallllly bad.
but it didnt just all of the sudden happen like something fell out.
