Just like the title sez do obdII cars have an ELD? I am running an OBDI ecu p06 in my 98 dx with a d16y7-t. I've been getting this cel for awhile.

If my car does not have an ELD that would explain why I am getting this CEL. If it does then I have to determine why I am getting it. Katman or any other wiring experts out there help me out please.

bad gound check your o2 sensor wiring , thats what i got the code from 2 wires were touching

Yes - OBD2 cars have an ELD as do the 5th gen Civic's, to my knowledge.

Does this code immediately appear when you turn the key 'on' without starting the engine?

You know what I can't remember. I've had the code for a couple of weeks now. From wht I remember the code does not come on until after I start the car.

The cel comes on about 10 seconds after I click the ignition on.

sorry for bringing this up from the dead, but does anyone know how to wire up an ELD in a car that did not come with one?

It's a 97 CDM civic btw
