cel 1 oxygen sensor, help!!!
i need some help people. i have a 93 si with a b16a2. i am running a obd1 si harness with obd2 injector plugs and obd2 alt. plug. i am getting cel #1. i installed a bosch o2 sensor and it had the plug already on it. i reseted the ecu and still no luck, the cel comes on. if i am getting voltage, what else could it be? i am running a jdm b16a ecu.

its also wierd cause if i reset my ecu and turn my keY in the on position(not running) and check for codes i still get code 1. dammit !!!

You have it wired wrong, the PCM performs a Comprehensive Component Test on the integrity of the circuits, if the wiring is not correct, this will happen to you, because the Test failed to complete that circuit, throwing your code. This will happen if you mix up the O2 wires, as well as the heater wires (if they are open).

i could not mix up the wires cause the o2 sensor came already wired and the plug attached. any other ideas?

Was it a factory sensor? Autozone sold a friend of mine a LAF sensor for his VX civic, and it was pinned wrong, had to repin it.

try a denso sensor, my cel would come on after a high rpm run , checked it and it was my o2 sensor, bought a bosch (against my tuners advice) and the light stayed on all the time.

well no luck i put a working oem o2 sensor from my integra and still the cel is on. i am not a electrical wiz but i thing it could be the harness that runs from the ecu to engine bay. i am getting no reading from the olm tester but i ran a voltmeter and i am getting voltage thru the harness

typical O2 runs 0-1V. the wire is also not a normal wire, it's has a small center conductor and a ring around it to act as a shield from electrical noise. within 2-3 inches of a connect the wire is typically a single wire, anything further than that and all bets are off.
If the wire was cut, spliced, or pinched it may be shorting the voltage to the shield which is ground.
take a volt meter, start the car, take the negative wire and connect to ground (metal somewhere), take the positive line and connect to D14 at the ECU.

if the line has fluctuating voltage from 0-1 Volt then it's fine. If there is zero then you have a problem.
connect to the O2 sensor's white wire and do the same test. again 0-1Volt. nothing then you have located the problem.
If there is voltage at the O2 and not at the ECU then you have a connection or wiring problem in between the two points.
an ohm meter will help you pin point the problem

an ohm meter measures the resistance between the two points.
if the wire is broken or disconnected some where, keep tracking the wire back till you find a place that is connected.
I have a feeling that the problem is at the passenger's shock tower plugs.

i check it and i am getting 3 volts at d14 and at the o2 sensor. i have an extention plug and i checked it to see if the wires are connected right and they are. if i run an ohm test to it it does nothing ( engine harness) but it makes a beep noise when i touch the ground wire.

i did a power window conversion a long time ago before on this car, is there any wires for the o2 sensor behind the fuse box that could of gotten screwed up? i dont know if any wires for the 02 run behind there

you have PM.
it runs below the underhood fuse box, not the underdash fuse box.
3volts on the O2 line means the O2 ground is not present for some reason. (it floats high due to the ECUs circuitry)
make sure that the green wire connects to the group of ground wires at the thermostat.

problem fixed! well i thought it was my oxygen sensor cause my cel was only blinking 1 time every 3 sec. which means code 1, but it was actually code 10, my iat sensor.
