that depends on your exhaust setup. It can, but not always.

It does constrict the flow, especially if it is old and partly clogged. However, it gives back pressure which some people belive is a good thing. Honda designed the exhaust system with the cat in mind. If you car is stock I would not remove it. If you have a turbo it is a different story. You can also purchase high performace cats

So like "IHateJDM" said it does depend on your set up.

What it does do is help the environment out, it is also illegal almost anywhere not to have one. Oh, and the most you screw the environment and the more the environment deterioates the tougher emmisions laws are going to get......

chances r it does. it sounds better without 1 if u got an exhaust but u may have to have 1 to pass emissions check depending on where u live.

*scratches head* English?

Also keep in mind if you get pulled over and a cop happens to look under the car, and notices the lack of a catalytic converter, you can be arrested on the spot (depending on the state). It's a HUGE fine as well (several thousand?)

i've never heard a honda that sounds better without a cat. If you're NA, get a high-flow cat and the right size exhaust, and the cat won't cost you any hp.

So I guess you are a fan of that fart can sound?

Another reason why you can't trust anyone on HT when they say "that exhaust sounds nice y0!"

Man, ever since my car got stolen, I've been forced to drive a crx with a cheap can and no cat. It sounds like a "pimped out" neon.
