catless good idea no/yes???
I have searched, but couldnt find anything.
I am turboing my car and since i am going to have to switch to obd1 would my cat matter if i took it off.
I know it will be louder, but air will flow better. plus cheaper than a high-flow cat.
Is there a way to cheat the code the o2 sensor throws with no cat while your obd2 though.
thabks for the help.

if your turbo it maybe a good idea, but if your not your car will sound like crap and smell like it also. get ready to sound like a bumblebee.

if ur going turbo take the cat out.... it will provide a faster spool up also the turbo will quiet the exhaust down a bit too... if ur gonna go obd1 then dont worry about the secondary o2

i run no cat on my turbo civic. 3 inch downpipe, 2.5 inch testpipe where the cat was, and a greddy evo catback from there out. its really not too too loud, but my car smells like crap and smokes a lil becasue there is no cat there. ideally, 3" from the turbo all the way back would be best

no cat= no back pressure which in an n/a car you need it helps with power. but on the other hand if your turbo the less back pressure means better flow in return means more power..... I recommend a high flow cat and if you go turbo get the test pipe and you would be straight .
