im not an expert on exhausts so please cut me some slack.would it help the flow if i cleaned my stock dx cat with air filter cleaner or something?it wouldnt damage the catalyist material(i dont really know what it is) would it?
im planning to run my a stock cat with my 2.5inch exhaust and 2.5inch header.any suggestions?

You prob wont notice anything (power) unless you get something a little more free flowing like a high flow cat or a test pipe.

I wouldn't go with a test pipe, I would replace the cat with a hi flow cat, it won't pollute more. I'm not sure about the chemical use, but I would advice replace it if your going to upgrade your exhaust system anyways.

i use water to clean my cat. just spray. i dont know about air filter cleaner though.
