Default Cat-Back Question

Currently I have just the muffler and tip on my car, can I convert it into the whole cat-back system? If so what does it involve?

it involves buying a cat back exhaust system, and installing it.

a cat-back system involves the proper piping and aftermarket muffler, which would mean getting rid of everything you have from your "cat" back and replacing it with a quality system like Greddy, TR, Tanabe, Apexi, etc...

well, basically all cat-back systems will do the same job, just don't go cheap on this(you want good quality exhaust tubing)- especially if you plan on doing bigger mods in the future(turbo, s/c, or swap). I personally like the Apexi N1 for the growl, but other good ones are the Thermal Research, Tanabe and HKS. Also remember that you can't look at this one mod as adding xamount of hp-a good exhaust is also complemented by a good intake and header, but if you will be adding fi or swapping forget the intake and header.
