I've had mine for 2 days. so I don't know. I know it sits lower than my test pipe did. but it's nice to have low end torque again.

i had mine for a week before it started to smell funny. It wasn't as bad as a test pipe but i noticed rattling shortly after the small became apparent.

Before that it was fine, but I couldn't pass NY emissions with it.

Mine was a direct-fit and not one of those universal ones.

just got mine, not even installed yet, but if you want a better brand, try random technologies. you get what you pay for, and they are badass cats.

My Carsound Cat only lasted for six months . The only reason I could see it crapping out on me is that the catalyst broke due to the possiblity of my car bottoming out.

When I replaced the cat with a testpipe, I noticed that my skid plate had sustained a few scrapes but the header had no dents. It appears that that catalyst had either come unglued because a large chunk constantly rattled at idle.

I had one that busted too that i bought from performance curve on ebay.
The guy refused to refund me my money, saying my engine was faulty and the honey comb only breaks when you have excess oil not burning and going on the honey comb.
I had to get my money back from paypal
Thank god for that.
Screw carsound, they suck, I hope you don't pay 80 for them from kteller, they go for 45-50 everywhere else

Its weird because i've had one carsound that lasted me only 3 months on my old mild built sohc vtec setup, and now on my b series the carsound cat i've got has lasted me over a year now. Maybe its because this time i've got a flex pipe welded inline with the cat right before the exhaust.

cata are not a problem with me. I just put a high flow cat on my hatch and using my ex bosses account at the distributor company I get em for like 50bucks and I use his mig welding machines and stuff.

I just got mine installed..I had ordered one from Andy @ Importech here on H-T and he sent me a short universal cat.. the guy at the muffler shop told me that I could've gotten one similar but a longer one almost as long as the stock one for cheaper too.. He suggests to get the same size/length cat as the stock and it should work better.. I'll post if anything goes wrong with this cat.

Yup, add me to the list of it only lasting less than 3 months under 2k miles. It sucks. I'll probably buy anohther one because I need to quiet my 3" Thermal. Unless anyone else knows of any other company that'll have a 13" long resonator. :\

3 months before it fell apart on the inside.

...and yes my car was tuned fine, thanks. Stock ITR engine with i/h/e and V-AFC/Kenji ECU tuning at the time.

I have ran the Carsound SHELL since then with no problems.
