Default Cargo Cover Sliding

I just changed my suspension in my 96 hatch. Now it seems as if the speaker covers - that also have the cargo cover snaps - are too far away from the cargo cover. So when I turn the cover slides right and left. Is there a way to fix this? Do I need to adjust the speaker covers some how? There is about a 1/2" gap on the side of the cargo cover. TIA!

Sounds to me like your suspension has flexed your body extremely !!!

But I've never seen that happen unless there is some frame damage under the car.

Just a thought ?

I didn't think of that. But I don't think that is the case. There has been no damage to this car. You have to remove the speaker covers to access the bolts on the tops of the shocks. I thought maybe I just put them in wrong. But since they line up for the screws I didn't know how to adjust them - or put them in differently. Anyone else have this problem?

Nope, it is an accessory option. Some DX's and Si's (EG) it comes FREE !

It is sort of stupid tough, they should throw in for free !

Yeah, it was an option for the CX in 96-00. DX it came standard.

Well, if you get one and it slides back and forth, tell me if you find out how to fix it

Mine moves about 3/4" from full left to full right.

I "fixed" it by putting o-rings onto the pins that snap into the clips.

Now I dont know why it would be so loose after working on your suspension unless you didnt get the speaker covers on right.

Where did you get the o-rings?

I couldn't see how to put them in wrong, because then the screws wouldn't line up for the cover. So, maybe I just didn't notice it before. Weird, but I duno. I didn't take corners as fast and hard as I do now, and maybe that's what has caused the bang when it slides.

Thanks - Jamin
