carbon fiber question
hi guys, i have a 93 honda civic, i got a CF hood from ebay, and just installed it today. it doesn't seem to fit correctly. and the half way up the hood is higher than the sides. looks like i ran in to a poll and the hood bents up a little. Is the a way to fix it? i did the search and it seems like those are for the front.

Re: carbon fiber question (ditsboy)
Don't feel bad dude, I saw a badass BMW M3 for sale at a used car lot with a carbon fiber hood. It had the exact same problem. Like it was the right height at the front and back, but not in the middle of the sides. It stuck up like 1 or 2 inches. Looked pretty bad.
Carbon fiber hoods are always a gamble, even the name brand ones can experience degradation of the clearcoat after a year or so. But I would complain to the seller about the fitment and see what happens. If you paid thru Paypal, you may be able to get them to accept a return on the hood if that's what you want. Paypal is usually pretty good about resolving disputes.

did you paypal or credit card? send it back. if they wont take it back, dispute with paypal or credit card. hurry up though. most cards only give you between 45-90 days. good luck.
that hood will probably only get worse.

Dont feel bad...even VIS has a slight issue with that. Ive had both cheapy and currently have a VIS hood...its a better fit, but still not perfect. Im slapping hood locks, but it wont correct the issue since locks will most likely be towards the front of the hood.
Unless you press down on the area where it pops up, slapped the locks on so it basically stretches the hood forward, then it wont work.
