there definitly not all the same. some have good fitment and some fit like complete garbage. i havent had a problem with v.i.s. but most of the ebay comapnies and what not are poop when it comes to both quality and fitment.

diffrent types of carbon weave, diffrent backing material, diffrent layup ways
there are like 5 diffrent ways to lay carbon fiber

pre-pregnated being the most difficult, lightestest, most expensive ans strongest.

random fact a nicley set up pre-pregnated pieace of carbon fiber has a higher tensile strength than low carbon steel
EG :

-wet layup
-wet layup vacumn bagged
-dry layup (pre-pregnated)
