Default carb civic i have question??

Hey Everyone,

I'm from amsterdam and I have a question for you us honda techies...

I now at the moment own a 1.3 carb hond civic hb (i know 1.3 is not avail in US)

I want to power it up with 2 weber carbs. Is this a good idea???

I hear many people say that changing your carb requires excelence in tuning skills and should only be done when using a dyna rollerbank so you can tune the weber carbs.

I hear peole say its not just installing ur carbs and ur done. But that you need to tune the carbs before it makes any sence. Even ur engine can run allot worse after installing the carbs is this true???

Cause also many people say me. No just install the 2 carbs and u have 30hp extra right out the box.. (this is what im after lol)

Can anybody awnser this?? Is changing carbs to a dual weber good or does it make no sence??

My friend runs a 1.5L 1987 CRX, carbureted. He uses dual Mikuni carbs and a 12-valve head, performance cam, header, ignition, etc. The car is VERY fun and fast! Definitely you need to have a mechanic synchronize the carbs if you go dual Webers, but I would really recommend putting a big cam in at the same time otherwise you might be just putting too much fuel in that 1.3L ...
