car wouldn't start...why?
i drove my car about 3-4 miles down the road, normal driving. i turned off the car and went inside the house real quick. went back to the car to leave and the car wouldn't start. i tried several times and it wouldn't start. it wouldn't even try to crank over. i could just here a clicking noise coming from where my tach is.
i checked the starter wire to make sure its plugged into the starter and it was. i took out the ecu fuse, put it back in and that didn't work. the radio worked and all lights came on. the car just didn't want to try and turn over.
i was in a hurry cause i had to be at work so i pushed the car to the side and parked it. before i got off the car, i tried one more time and the car started. i drove it to work and it drove fine. when i got to work, i turned the car off and on like 3 times and it started every time. any suggestions on why it may not have started before? i was thinking maybe a ground wire is lose or something, but i don't know......i need to check when i get off work.

Check all of your engine grounds
Battery, thermostat housing, tranny, alternator
also could be a failing dizzy. try doing a full tune up and see if it helps. be sure to get
plugs and wires
fuel filter
new dizzy cap
new rotor

yeah...i have an alarm. i was thinking it could have something to do with that also.
if the alarm is on, the car won't start either. i turned the alarm off though before i started the car.
actually, when the alarm is on and i try to start the car, it doesn't do anything. it won't even try to crank over. thats the same thing that happened today. it seemed as if my alarm was on so the car wouldn't turn on.

i heard a clicking noise, so shouldn't that mean that my starter is good, but there was something else that was preventing the car from starting?
it didn't try to turn over, just a click noise and thats it.

Just a thought, but a common Honda problem is with the main fuel pump relay from heat over the years. Does your fuel pump prime? if not, that could be your problem. Others on H-T will tell you to go re-solder those connections, which is a good idea.
