Default Car wont turn over

I'm in a little bind, i drove to work in my hatch, tried to go to lunch and my car would not turn over. All the lights turn on but nothing no noise at all. I checked my starter cable and other cables to see if something is loose and I couldnt find anything wrong. I was driving this morning and then came to work and now this im in a bind to figure out what this maybe.

Check whether the rubber stopper at the top of the clutch that presses on the starter switch has fallen out or is broken.

Check specifically the stopper (red arrow) that presses on the switch.
