i have a jdm B16a and while im driving down the road the car will frequently throw it out of 5th gear. is this just a syncro problem or is it more serious than that. if it is a synco problem how difficult is it to replace myself. i've never worked with the internals of a tranny before. also i have LS tranny laying around and was thinking of taking the 5th gear out of that and putting it in the b16 tranny, does anyone know how difficult that is????

I have a cheap Tenzo-R short shifter and it slips out of gear when im not accelerating sometimes, do you have a short shifter? that may be the problem, or the gear is bad if its only in 5th....

i'd reccommed takin it to a tranny shop. transmission is a bit tricky and confusing, especially if you know what you are doing

tranny fluid. mine ex tranny did the same thing right befor it cooked itself.
