Default car won't stay on

well i had just changed my head went d16z6 to another z6 because my timing belt broke and bent valves. so i put the new head on and timing belt took a week but i finally got it to crank over today but, it won't stay going at first it'd crank all the way and it'd idle real rough then it'd idle fine. then it'd shut off i'd crank it bank on it'd idle perfect for about 30 seconds and then it'd shut off. now it won't crank over for more then 2 seconds as soon as it cranks it'll get gas and spark then nothing. i'm at a loss this is my first time doing anything this big on a car so i'm desperate for help.
thanks in advance.

Recheck the mechanical timing and compression test the cylinders.

This is exactly what was in my mind when I read you problem.. make sure all vacumme lines are hooked up.. this is a common problem and I had it once before..
