Default Car wont start help!

Heres the problem I started up my car and it started up fine... I put into reverse and it moved about an inch and the motor turned off.... I get a check engine lite and now my motor wont turn over... It tries to but it wont turn over it sounds like its not getting any fuel but i dont know wat to do. I tried to jump the ecu and it wasnt able to ... there were 2 plugs one w/ a green and brown wire and one w/ a blue and some other color wire and i stuck a paper clip into each of em tryin to jump the ecu one at a time and its not workn

yeah usually you are supposed to hear fuel pump priming, if you don't turn your key to the on possition kick your left kick panel (where the fuses are) and see if it starts.

I had a same problem the other day, sitting in my driveway idling, after checking i had spark and fuel, it turned out to be teeth broken off on the timing belt which made it not start.

hey in the 92 civic hb is there fuses for the fuel pump ? and also i heard that if the distributor had gone bad that it causes the ecu to not send fuel to the motor... which i may think is my problem and also I cant find the fuse for the fuel pump under the steering wheel panel

Heh sounds like what happened to me, only I have spark and fuel. Checked the timing belt last night and it looked fine. I don't know whats going on with mine, good luck with yours though.

It's in the dizzy (it's actually cam position sensor). If you are still getting no spark then I don't know. how do you check for spark, where did you get the dizzy?

Did you ever check the code? It's a Blue clip near your ecu. You have to stick a paperclip into both sides to jump it then count the flashes. Once you tell us what the CEL is we can help you diagnose the problem. How did you check for fuel? Did you take the banjo bolt off the fuel rail? Do that and make sure you actually have fuel to the fuel rail cause my problem turned out to be a clogged fuel filter. Last time you filled up did you run your car to the point where it was past E?
