when i turn my car on, but keep the engine off, the CEL light is supposed to come on for a few seconds and then it turns off. same thing is supposed to happen with the SRS light.

this doesn't happen. instead, my CEL light doesn't come on at all, and the SRS light remains lit. the starter motor runs fine, and i can hear it's getting plenty of power. also, when the key is turned to the on position, i don't hear my fuel pump prime.

i tried resetting the ECU, no results. i tried pulling codes from the OBDII scanner i rented, and it says it can't link up.

ideas or suggestions ? btw, this is a 99DX hatch, and these problems are coming from me swapping in an SI harness for a power conversion.


PROBLEM SOLVED: I looked at the Helms wiring schematic for all wires running to the PGM-FI main relay, and fuse 13 was blown. Now it's back to fixing CEL P0141
