Car won't start... CEL code #43
Hey honda-tech,
Certain times my car runs fine, other times the engine will bog like its not getting fuel or it'll want to shut off at low rpm (when i'm at a stop light).
So my car just shut off on it's own last night after running for about 2 mins. Now the car will not start. It'll crank but won't turn over. There is power to the radio, windows, interior light and all that, so it's not the battery, I don't think.
So I checked the CEL code and it threw a code # 43 - fuel supply system. I've read about O2 sensors and all that in the archives, but I need to know what do I need to replace, fuel pump? I dunno. help me out.

Pop off the injectors and see how they are? Check fuel filter? Are you getting fuel first of all? Like when you turn the key to the last position to see all the dash lights come on, do you hear the fuel pump go "errrr" for a second.

you need to make sure your parts are bad before guessing whats wrong and spending $. Check the fuel pump first, listen for it to prime with key in on position. If you have a DMM it would help as well. Start by checking fuel pump, main relay, and then fuel filter.

hmmm... lets see, I do hear the fuel prime and all the lights in the dash lights up when I turn the key. Oh and what should I look for when i'm checking all the parts.

Re: (orb)
need some help with this cel #43. about a month ago i rear-ended someone. after that i was throwing a code #41. i let it stay for about 3 weeks and then bought a used o2 sensor from a honda dismantler. 3-4 days later after driving the car on and off through-out the day i get a cel. pull over & read #43. i accidentially reset the code when leaving that parking lot. it didnt go on for another day or 2. last night i got it again. it seems it only happens after driving for a bit. both happened later in the day after ive taken the car for a good drive. any ideas? my car doesnt sound any different after the code comes on and i cannot tell any difference at all in the performance. first off ill take the o2 sensor back while its still under the 30 day warrenty. thanks in advance

Re: (Local)
Some things you can try:
Fuel pressure regulator
Check TPS
Make sure 02 heater circuit isn't grounding/shorting
None of these things have worked for me, but maybe you will have better luck.
