car wont start!
yah so i did a swap into my 97 civic ex and well the damn car wont start.. i kno the motor is good, it has a brand new alternator, battery is good..
it tries to start but it doesnt eh eh eh eh eh eh eh is all i get outa it ( sorry i cant spell the sound effects acurate)
but yah if someone has ne ideas of wat it cud be i love to here them

If it cranks it's either a fuel or a spark problem. First thing to do is check all the fuses.
To check if you have spark, remove a plug and hook it to the plug wire, ground it, and try and start the car. If you see a spark then it's a fuel problem.
The most common failure is the main relay; turn your key to the II position and listen for your fuel pump to prime. If it does not, then most likely it's the main relay. Otherwise it could the pump, FPR, or injectors, among others.
Trying to diagnose my own starting problem at the moment
To check if you have spark, remove a plug and hook it to the plug wire, ground it, and try and start the car. If you see a spark then it's a fuel problem.
The most common failure is the main relay; turn your key to the II position and listen for your fuel pump to prime. If it does not, then most likely it's the main relay. Otherwise it could the pump, FPR, or injectors, among others.

okie i changed my alternator fuse and ignition coil fuse and i tried to start thecar up and it did the same thing. i pulled the spark plugs out and they are covered in gas and oil. the piston tops are damp.. wat do i do abotu this!?!?!

did the engine sit for a while befor u put it in if so then poor a little oil down the cylinders and crank it for a little bit it will get it compression back and it should start up also check and make sure that all injectors are working
