I just got my car back from the mechanic who was gone for the day. The car started fine, filled her up with gas, everything good. So I'm driving over to the supermarket. Come back, car won't start, thought it was the battery, got jumper cables, car won't start. I'm thinking it's a bad alternator, but I'm not sure. They told me they kept my old alternator and hooked it up to the new motor. My question is,could it be the alternator? If it is the alternator, my old one worked, could it have died after they swaped it, or is it recommended you switch your alternator also? Could it be bad grounding??

edit: At one point in time, the car almost cranked for a short second, could it be my timing? Ignition?

Woke up this morning, started messing with the wires, everything started up. At first I thought it was my started, but since part of my harness was cut off (from when I bought the car), I guess the way the wires were arranged was causing a bad ground on the car. Sunday or Monday I'll have some time to mess around with the wires to see if I could fix it.
