i have a 00 si and it wont start. we thought the relay was bad but swapped it out with a friends still did the same thing. the car gets spark and i can smell fuel from under the hood. but when the key is on it makes a strange noise on the IM like a buzzing. the car doesnt sound like it did before when it went to start. anyone have a idea?

also it is boosted and tuned with chrome on a p28 ecu.

Relays buzz when they don't get enough voltage. Do you hear the fuel pump kick on?

ok i figured out what the buzzing noise was on the IM it was the iacv. i think its bad. anyone know if all b series iacv are the same and if this could be my problem along with the main relay?

no cel. went to the junk yard today and got a realy and a new iacv and still it will turn over but not fire. im getting spark and fuel. i dont know if im getting enough spark because when i pulled the plugs they were covered in gas. and still witht the new iacv it still makes the buzzing noise and when its unplugged it doesnt

figured it out yesterday. bad ecu. i dont get why it wasnt throwing any cel though

if there wasa solid CEL I believe it means code Zero which indicates bad ECU . Did you jemp the plug above the passenger side kick panel if you did and still did not throw a CEL i would check to see if the fuse was pulled or if the bulb was pulled .Anyway glad you fixed the prob
