car will not stay on. cuts on sometimes

car will not stay on. cuts on sometimes
Alright honda-tech im offically stumped and ready to give up. Quick rundown of the car
94 EG
b20vtec, gsr head.
12.5:1 compression
Problems..
Sometimes the car starts and sometimes it doesnt.
When it does, it revs and then cuts off. It stays on for like 3-5 seconds, for the few times it does idle, if i push in the gas it cuts off and pops from the intake. As soon as teh TB opens and starts sucking in air it starts to die
CEL is solid
wasnt getting spark
i can hear the fuel pump priming so im guessing my MR is good.
what i have done so far:
changed out rotor and cap and wires: now i have spark
swapped out P28 for stock P28 and get the code which is the vtec pressure
double check cam timing
changed out fuel filter
i want to get this car running..please help h-t
