Car whines in reverse

Car whines in reverse
I have a 1994 civic ex coupe 5 speed. I live in columbus ohio and we have like 10 inches of snow right now my car got stuck and i started noticing a whining sound when backing up in reverse. My car is lowered 2 1/4 front and 2 in the rear. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure this one out.

The high pitched whining noise is normal when the wheels slip while in reverse.
Edit: Sounds kinda like an R/C car.

when in reverse, the car making this noise is normal.
if you are paranoid, though. you might want to check the oil level in the tranny.

I thought it was normal but thing have been going bad right and left so i figured it was normal. Thanx guys the main reason I visit honda tech ever day quick responses.

r u a noob in disguise? lol...yes the reverse doesn't have a synchro because u shift into it when u r stopped so nothings spinning, so if you are moving and shift into reverse there might b a grind, but it whines because reverse is a straight cut gear, which whines when it runs, all the other forward gears are slant cut and are much quieter

Hahahaha.. Hell yes OHIO SUX *** MAN!! I got out of Dare Devil and my car was BURRIED in snow.. i was pist because it was my 5th time to brush/scrape my windows today.. It has not stopped snowing ONCE today.. wtf is this BS!? haha.. I feel your pain though.. my car does not like the snow at all..
As for the sound.. I think it's normal.. Mine always sounds like an RC car in reverse.. Not sure if you are talking about that sound or a different sound or not.

yea i have noticed a slight whine but this one was 10 times louder. I only drove my car once today and it took me about 10 minutes to clean windows lol like 6 inches on it. I was walking arounf the car and when i got in i had to take off my shoes to get snow out. I am not used to this we only had like 5 inches total last year.
