Car wants to shut off.
Have an idle problem hoping someone will be able to help ou car t...Since last week the car has started to idle very poorly.
Car starts up fine and and drives fine. Once you come to a stop the idle drops down to the point where it wants to stall (but doesn't) and then slowly goes back up to normal.
When you come to a stop and put the car in park it sometimes dies out.
I have changed the alternator and checked the battery nothing....
The car recently went to have timing belt and water pump changed couple of weeks back and didn't notice any problems until last week.

Sounds about the same?
I never figured out what the problem was, despite all the suggestions.
Honestly, I really suggest taking a look at your TPS though

I don't know man my car is doing the same thing. It drives fine but when I throw it in neutral to come to a stop it almost feels like its going to stall so I rev it a little. If you find out whats wrong with it let me know.Good Luck

Re: (hondahardcore)
this is the same thing that my car was doing over the weekend....friday when a friend that i work with at toyota helped time the car...my dizzy was bad and i knew this already..just wanted to see if it would run better
the dizzy was throwing a code 9..cyp sensor...
while my friend was timing the car the cord on the timing light got caught in the timing belt and the car shut off....we got the cord out and the car still ran...i thought he prolly made it skip a tooth on the cam gear but he said it didnt....
so all weekend i was riding around and when id let off the gas and clutch (at a light or stop sign) it would fall flat or even shut off....so yesterday when i had the new dizzy on and no codes were being thrown...we decided to take the valve cover off and the cam gears did skip a tooth...
we adjusted the cam gear and timing and everything and now it runs great...no codes or stalling at all...hopefully this helps
