my car does not stay on when i crank the engine but will stay on if i rev a couple times, and idles better when the motor has been warmed up.is it my oil pressure sensor or iacv by any chance?

If it surges or stumbles on it self when you are reving it you could have a fuel supply problem or an ignition timing problem. If it does not do that and just dies when you let off of the throttle, then it is most likely a IAC problem. Are you showing a check engine light? What Motor and what ECU? You could simply need to loop the service connector and adjust the idle screw on the throttle body to open the port to the IAC valve.

Re: car tries to stay on after cranking but idles to low and shuts off.help. (gt30typer)
i have a 2nd gen jdm b16 with a skunk 2 manifold and type r throttle body.the iacv on the manifold will idle at about 1500 rpm, when the motor has been running for a while it drops to 500-600 rpm and stays there.then it starts idling becuse the sensor is bad.but if i plug in a seperate iacv valve and leave it hanging by the manifold the car will idle low and die, unless i rev a couple times it will idle at about 300 rpm and go up to 500-600 rpm when the motor has been running for a while.
