car struggles/bogs...can someone help? Please
I have a B18C1 swap in my 93 Hatchback....the motor is pretty much all stock cept a cai and also the exhaust is dislodged between the header and cat. Well i need help diagnosin(sp?) what my problem is... While going up to speed and keeping the speed constant on the freeway (65-80mph) the car seems to bog/struggle. But on the city streets with just normal driving the car seems to run fine, and also the car would acclerate fine with no struggle at all. It only struggles when keepin a constant speed around 65-80mph... Does anyone have a clue on what i should check out or know the problem so i can fix it? Thanks in advanced, i hope i find the problem soon and get it fixed soon.

think that your problem might be rpm related? Are you running higher rpms for longer periods on the highway?

what about trying to clean out your intake manifold? Spray some carb cleaner in there while the car is running... and just rev it up to clean it out... I did that a few times when the same problem was happening to me... worked fine after that.

Re: (CNY Hatch)
Definetly change the fuel filter. Mine caused those same basic problems, its cheap and easy too, and cant hurt, just good preventitive maintenence.
What about fuel pump, is it the stock pump, or an upgraded one for the new motor?

that actually can be a bad idea, the carb cleaner could detonate causing a explosion in the intake manifold... not exactly the best thing for it.
