yea i was thinking it might have something to do with the fuel...thanks for the tip...i wanted to check if it could be something else before i go out and buy a new filter/pump....btw, i hear the fuel pump whine when its at the 2nd key, could it still be broke even if i hear it?

I have 3 ideas...that I got outta my manual
1) bad connections at distributor/coil or they need to be replaced
2) not enough fuel getting to the injectors...inspect the fuel system
3) vacuum leak between intake mani and t/b

on my 94 civic coup half the time it would run half the time it wouldnt start and half the time it would start up get just out of walking distance and then die. for me it was the engine coil not hard to fix at all but i guess it is a pretty common problem
