Car starting problems
In my 97 civic dx when it is pretty cold outside i have a lot of trouble getting it to start right. I will crank it and it wil start on a dime, then dies immediately. Whenevr i try to crank it again, it carnks for a long time, and will try to start. I have to give it gas, sometimes alot of gass, and then it runs, and sounds real shitty. Sometimes i can like floor it, and it will hesitate alot, and then all of the sudden start back up. this is all sitting in my driveway. When it warms up eventually, it runs fine. any help would be appreciated!

this morning i tried to start it, it wasnt even cold, it took forever. it would just crank and catch every 10 seconds. it took so long my battery started to die, right when it was getting low, a puff of smoke came out of the engine bay. I checked what it was, and there was a shitload of smoke coming out of my airbox. WTF!! i got it started shortly there after, and it ran fine after warming up
