Default Car started once...Now no spark

I just replaced the head unit in my car civic coupe. When i put the new unit in i had no volume...So i turned the car off and switched some wires around. First wire i am confused about is the wire that is on the Head unit harness that says (MUTE) on it...I didnt hook it up to anything because i had no spot to hook it up. Then i tried to turn the head unit back on and i had volume for about 5 seconds and it faded out.....no volume.
I have a bad battery but i had it hooked up to another civic for a jump.

Now i have no spark on my pl;ugs...I checked all my fuses and they all seem to be ok. Any ideas? The car turns over but it just wont start....

Check whether you have battery voltage to the distributor. If so, then check the coil and then the igniter.
