hey guys i got a b16 swap onto my ek it was running fine until just 2 days ago i driving on the freeway and felt some lag when shifting then the car just died,,,,, i checked, dizzy,ecu,main realy, with know working one,,,, when the car dies the main relay just clicks and then the car idles off,,,, i dont know if it electrical or if i need a new fuel pump i need some help please

One thing you can check is the alternator.
To check it I recommend...
-Start your car and let it idle
-put your multimeter on the battery
-watch the voltage
- if it doesn't maintain a constant volt reading above 12v (forgot what its supposed to be at) and you can watch it slowly decrease,I recommend replacing the alternator.

Its one of many things to check, but its a start. Good luck!

Thank you for responding , i did a lil more research and saw something about the grounds being bad,,, took that advice and turned out to be a bad ground wire really corroeded and sanded all the other ground,,,,

it was just confusing would have never thought it was a ground wire,, i even bought a fuel pump now i gotta return it,,, this site is awesome

its crazy how something you'd never thought it would be IS the problem. yup. happened to me a couple times. haha

example, my car had been running good. i changed the spark plugs. after that, it lost all power, no acceleration whatesover. it felt like i was driving a go-kart. so i cheked the compression, timing, injectors, fuel pump, alternador, all that stuff. everything but checking to see if the firing orders were correct. turns out i didnt pay attention to where the spark plug wires were suposed to go. and so they weere not in theyr correct spots. haha. after like 200 dolars at the mechanic, and doing everything but cheking the firing orders, i felt like a dumass.! hahaha. its okay tho, alot of stuff to learn. and cars will always mess with ppl like that. like mine did to me.
