Car sputters
Okay, i've been having this problem for quite a while.
2000 Civic Ex. D16 engine (no it's not a d16y8, or y7 or anything, all the block stamp says is d16.
In second gear at about 4.5k the car basically falls on it's face until it reaches 5.5k and then everything is fine...
It's not a huge deal since i hardly ever go to that rpm but when i'm getting on the freeway trying to get infront of a semi it kinda bugs me...anyone have any ideas on what's happening? No check engine light codes or anything, car drives perfect during any other gear at any rpm. Compression is 180 across the board and oil pressure is between 75-80psi and timing is set at factory spec....
Thanks in advance.

Have you measured the fuel pressure. There might be a problem with the fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator or the fuel filter is a bit clogged.
You also might want to check the primary O2 sensor for deterioration.

I'm planning on checking the fuel pressure/filter this weekend.
The primary o2 sensor was replaced about 3k miles ago so i can't imagine it's bad already.....but i'll definately check that as well..
