car shakes in morning in low gears

Hey guys, I have a 96 civic dx, if its cold out, or when I use my car for the first time during the day it will kinda shake when starting out in 1st gear mainly.. the shifter will shake as well... kinda makes it jump untill it gets going..

could this be the clutch? motor mounts?

Mounts, sounds like the rear mount is toast, but take a look at all of them.

if you still have the torque mounts then there are a total of 5.

after the car heats up it doesn't do it.. seems like it does it less when its hot out..

I am changing the cv axles my next day off, they are clicking.

Yeah, mine did that some time ago... when I changed the clutch, it went away...

Until I changed the clutch, I just hit the gas pedal a bit more (aprox 2500 rpm for taking off)

I read something that it has something to do with glazed flywheel, whatever that means...

Re: (KKVTi)

If your shifter is moving, it is the mounts. There's 5 total: driver side top mount, rear mount which attaches the rear subframe to the trans. case, trans. top mount, and the front 2 vibration mounts which attach the fronts of the block and trans. to the undersides of the frame rails.
