Car problem, alternator or belt?
Ok...when I was driving home tonight, a couple times my del sol emitted this loud whine then disappeared. Weird, but whatever. Further down the road, my battery light filckered to life...what the hell. Few minutes later, I heard something whining again. It sounds like the belt is rubbing something, but it's night and I haven't had the chance to look yet. I'm thinking maybe the alternator is fucked up and it's just rubbing instead of turning it? Any ideas thanks

Not without looking there is no way of telling.. but did you have a grinding noise comming from the engine before this happened?

Well I heard a loud whining noise twice, just for a few seconds, then a few minutes later the battery light kinda faded/flickered on.
