Default Car with old fuel

So my ek has been sitting for a full year with a lot of gas in it. So would this be the reason that it bog, sputters, and struggles until it get past 4500 rpm.

No. No one has.
BTW. It doesn't treat the old fuel, only the engine, so if you are still running with old gas you're asking for it. Drain the tank and get some good stuff in it.

You might also want to check out this link while you're at it.

Honestly man, just drain the tank. It might seem like a hassle, but you are probably doing more harm than good. Besides who knows how much that gas has degraded in that time period.

update to my problem:

replaced the following items; fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, spark wires, dizzy. After this i was still showing the same problem so i did timing and boooya runs better. now im still having problems while driving from idle to about 2.5k, it still sputters but not as bad. my question today is should i still adjust the timing.

Old gas could be part of the issue at least. And the product would be StaBil. It comes in either a rectangular boxy looking can or a plastic container. Good stuff, definitely helps in lawnmowers and stuff.

Also, you don't need to dump the old gas. Put a bit (like a gallon) in every new tank of gas until your container is empty.
